A chiropodist is a primary health care provider who provides assessment, treatment and prevention of diseases, disorders or dysfunction of the foot and lower leg by therapeutic, surgical, corrective, orthopedic or palliative means.
The cost of foot care varies within Ontario. We can discuss fees with you before your visit. Fees are generally based on an approval fee guide. Many private health insurance plans cover services provided by registered Chiropodists. If you have a private (extended) health care plan, contact your insurance company to find out what foot care services are covered. Chiropody services can also be deducted on your income tax under medical services.
