Silver Willow Golf and Sporting Club, located about 40 minutes north of Calgary, Alberta, offers a unique day activity in a beautiful, western prairie setting.
The club, owned and operated by Gwen and Don Day, was created as a way to diversify their farming operation while still protecting the wildlife and nature of the area.
First came the sporting clays, which is still relatively unknown even though it is one of the fastest growing sports in North America. The objective is to shoot clay targets as they fly past at varying speeds and angles on a 12-station walk around course. The club provides safety education and instruction for all beginners.
