- Collecting a few pieces as gifts from my husband in 1960 began my fascination. He purchased these very expensive items in the only jewelry store in a nearby town. These lovely dishes sat in my cupboards real high up out of the reach of my growing children. Now that they are grown, I have found time to become more seriously interested in these silver trimmed glass and crystal dishes.
