The race is on to conserve what remains of B.C.'s magnificent ancient forests, wildlife and marine ecosystems. Our unique wild places are threatened by clear-cut logging, global warming, oil tanker traffic, unscrupulous extraction of resources like coalbed methane, pipelines, pollution and unbridled development. We live in a province so dazzling that our vehicle licence plates call it "Beautiful BC" and "The Best Place on Earth".
