The Shrimpers Trust was set up in July 2000 to represent the interests of Southend United fans around the world. It is a legal entity owned by its members, formed by a dedicated band of supporters concerned at the loss of the clubs assets to property developers.
It was set up primarily to encourage supporters to become more involved in the running of their club and for the football club to take into account the views of their supporters and the local community, before making fundamental decisions.
