- Welcome to Ten Sixteen -- a men's and women's boutique. The idea for ten sixteen was born in the middle of a way-too-long summer as law clerks in 2003 and became a reality in La Jolla, California in October of 2005. Forgoing their job offers at prestigious law firms, husband-and-wife team Katy and Griff Lucas opened ten sixteen to provide San Diegans with the shopping experience they were missing (and themselves with a job they had always wanted!) in a high-end one-stop shop for everything from vintage t-shirts to premium denim to hot handbags to fancy dresses. The mission of ten sixteen is to make shopping fun again and not the stressful, intimidating, or frustrating experience it so often is today.
