Welcome to our Web site!
Shaman Cockers is a small hobby kennel/home for American Cocker Spaniels. Our kennel name was derived from having Native American ancestors in our family trees as well as my undergraduate education as a pharmacist (Medicine Man).
We live a few miles NW of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex in the Great State of Texas. Although we are not 'native' Texans, Texas has been our home for the majority of our married lives. We also have lived in Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Georgia. We are both 'native' Kansans who attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence. I have a degree in Pharmacy and an MBA and have been involved with the design and development of computer systems for pharmacies since graduation in 1980. Debbie has a degree in accounting and an MBA as well as being a CPA. She retired from the work environment in 1997 to stay at home and take care of our ever-growing family of cocker spaniels.
We are active with breeding and exhibiting cockers in conformation, obedience and agility. We strive to breed healthy animals with wonderful loving cocker spaniel temperaments for show and companionship.
