Shalgo Setters is located on a small farm nestled in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains affectionately referred to as Shalgo , which stands for, " S tuff H appens A nd L ife G oes O n". We are easily reached by interstate and are located seven miles outside of Roanoke, Virginia. No complicated drawn-out directions or never-ending remote country roads to get lost on.
Beginning from childhood, our family has at one time or another had the privilege of knowing and working with several different breeds of dogs. Some of which were the German Shorthaired Pointer, Springer Spaniel, Golden Retriever, English Setter and now the Llewellin Setter.
