Who We Are
Since 1985 San Francisco Choral Artists has thrilled Bay Area audiences with its perfectly balanced blend of voices, innovative programming, and elegant presentation of both choral classics and vibrant new music by contemporary composers.
In this 21st Season, our eleventh under the artistic direction of Magen Solomon, we continue to celebrate our choral past while enriching our choral future. Our December concerts showcase some of the earliest Christmas music juxtaposed beside world premieres from Bay Area composers--and expect more world premieres at the March/April and June concerts.
We expand our outreach to young musicians through Artistic Director Magen Solomon's workshop with San Francisco's School for the Arts (SOTA), SFCA's second season of our New Voices competition to encourage young composers under the age of 30, an Academic Decathlon collaboration with the Stockton Symphony, and a community choral workshop with California composer Morten Lauridsen.
