Description
My name is Charlene Strock. I sell handcrafted doll clothes for 15" and 18" dolls like the Bitty Baby and American Girl Dolls. The styles I sell include clothes made from patterns sold by the same company that sells the American Girl dolls, Prairie or Americana styles, and Modern clothes such as jeans, shirts, skirts, nightgowns, robes, swimsuit and coverup. In addition to the doll clothes, I sew goose clothes in a variety of styles and themes for all holidays.
I started my sewing business in 1999. Sewing was something I could do at home while also taking care of the paperwork and business for our family trucking company. I started sewing when I was in high school and made all of my own clothes through high school and college. I continued sewing for many years making clothes for myself and my sons. I attended Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio and graduated with a Vocational Home Economics Degree. Following graduation I taught Home Economics classes for several years. In more recent years have taught a variety of adult classes.
I am the only one involved in the business. Once in awhile, I draft my husband to help build displays and set up at craft shows.
