- Shortly after arriving in Japan I discovered sentō. I really enjoy going, but when moving to a new area I found it is quite difficult to find a sentō without being able to read the Japanese telephone directory or without knowing locals. I discovered the sentō in my neighbourhood only by chance. I'm sure there are many others like me out there, so I decided to create this website and, hopefully with your help, develop an English language database of sentō all over Japan. Naturally it is impossible for me to visit all sentō in the country, so if the sentō in your neighbourhood is not yet listed in my database, please feel free to submit it.
