SEMPRE MUSIC offers a wide range of titles from the beginner instrumentalist through to the professional ensemble. Our music is particularly suited to ensembles in schools - it is tuneful yet contemporary in style, educational and fun to play.
Unless otherwise stated, all piece in this catalogue are original compositions by Melanie Thorne. Until recently, she was Director of Music at a girls' Private School in Surrey and previous to her class teaching experience, had worked as an instrumental peripatetic teacher. Melanie is now working as a woodwind instructor for Dumfries & Galloway.
Although this catalogue is an instrumental catalogue, Melanie has experience in writing incidental music and songs for school plays. Her choral music repertoire includes a chamber opera, Christmas carols and a specially commissioned work for a school centenary service. Last year she was awarded first prize as the 'clear winner' in the Charlotte Mew Song-writing competition organised by the English Poetry and Song Society.
