Selma High graduate Joshua Tolbert headed to war in Afghanistan last week. He left his family with a mix of feelings: Love, pride, hope and fear. Tolbert is in the first wave of the 30,000 additional troops that President Barack Obama is sending to Afghanistan to fight surging Taliban forces. The 22-year-old Marine said that he was calm as he got ready to deploy on Dec. 19. "I made peace with my decision to join and I have always known it is a possibility," he said of going to war.
