Description
Dr. Edwin Riley is a nationally known recitalist, soloist, and clinician. He received his B.M. and M.S. degrees from the Julliard School and his D.M.A. degree from the University of Iowa. His teachers include Bernard Portnoy, Joseph Allard, George Silfies and Himie Voxman.
Formerly, Dr. Riley Played in the American Symphony under Leopold Stokowski and was Principal Clarinet in the Cedar Rapids Symphony (Iowa). He has played clarinet in the Atlanta Opera Orchestra and Principal Clarinet in the Columbus Symphony.
His chamber music experience includes three years with the Premier Woodwind Quintet, which performed extensively throughout the New York City area while he was a member of the USMA Band at West Point. He is currently a member of the Southwind Quintet, in residence at Columbus College, which performs throughout the Southeast.
