- SEGGAU CASTLE with its century long tradition as a place of meeting and of integration, is staying true to its history in the present and will also stay true to it in the future. For many centuries, the castle served as an Episcopal vineyard in the maintenance of the relative spiritual leader of the Graz-Seckau diocese and it served in his representation of the Styrian church. As such, it was also the main employer of the region and a place of meeting for diverse occasions. The Episcopal rooms of representation were places of both debate and of dialogue between the church, science and politics.
