- Twenty years have passed since pro sailor Ralf Sifford (US 27) opened the doors at Second Wind Sail Surf & Kite. Back in 1985, with $500 in his pocket, Ralph rented a 400sf retail space and brought most of his merchandise in on consignment. His goal was to make windsurfing and surfing affordable for the hundreds of water enthusiasts who visit Maui annually. In those days, the shop closed at 1:30pm and the whole staff hit the water.
