"I started Natural High in Nelson after returning to New Zealand from an extensive overseas research trip (or was it an excuse to have fun ???). I have cycle toured, mountain biked and raced, hiked and relaxed in many countries and continents including Australia, Canada, USA, Europe, Asia and Nepal etc.
I believe New Zealand offers a combination of features from many country's but because of our small population of approximately 3.5 million (not including sheep) an outdoor or eco tour is heightened by its vast areas of unpopulated coastline, mountain ranges and very friendly atmosphere.
Being born and raised in the South Island, I believe the cycling to be the best and the Abel Tasman seakayaking unforgettable. We specialise in the "South Island only". The choice of Nelson as a base was made because of its close proximity to the activities which we specialise in, and because Nelson has the most sunshine hours in New Zealand. Having travelled as both a budget traveller and on guided tours I have put together options which appeal to all ages and a variety of fitness and abilities. I believe local knowledge to be the most effective way to get the most out of an overseas visit so our trained staff and guided tours are planed to take you to the ultimate terrain, most magnificent views, interesting local activities, best accommodation, food and local wines.
