Santa Clara Vanguard - A Non-Profit Youth Music & Dance Organization

To provide the opportunity for people of all ages to develop an appreciation for the performing arts through participation, thus instilling characteristics of integrity, dedication, excellence and good citizenship.

The Santa Clara Vanguard website was first online in 1996. The website at that time was maintained by a fan in the Bay Area. We would like to thank Anita Orr, for creating the very first SCV website. Since then, the website has undergone a few revolutions. The current version happens to be the fourth and most likely not the last. Dan Day, a baritone alumnus, took over the responsibilities in 1997 and created the 2nd version. The website was hosted through a generous donation by Concentric Networks (now XO Communications).

In 2000, the website was handed over to current webmaster, Brian Marsalli, who gave the site a new look (version three) and began transforming the site into a consistent source for information about SCV. Brian enlisted the help of alumnus Martha Garcia to maintain the updating of the Alumni Directory. The site was once again revamped during the winter of 2001 by Brian, and again in 2002 to utilize database technology for news and event management and a new online store.
