Artist Narda Caton is a painter, sculptor, crafter, writer, and illustrator based in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She works with a wide variety of materials and mediums combining vivid colors and textures to create beautiful works of art in Native American and Southwest styles, as well as in many other genres. Her works have been shown throughout the United States and abroad.
Although she is proficient in many artistic endeavors, her treatment of gourds is truly masterful. We know of no other artist who creates pieces similar to her Gourd Hordes, which combine natural gourds, sculpted and painted faces and hands, fabrics and other materials.
As a painter, Narda works with oils, acrylics, water color, and china paints on a wide variety of mediums often in combination with other materials.
