Kendal Engineering (Technical Services) was formed in the 1980s to provide Project Management, Feasability Studies, Mechanical Design and latterly CAD Services to Industry in North West England. Industries served include Aircraft, Paper & Conversion, Brewing and Foodstuffs, Chemical and Nuclear. Projects developed include Tooling, bonded structures and production techniques; process & plant layout, (boiler and compressor houses, pilot prod plant, CIP systems and production lines;) PLC controlled product and handling systems; computer rooms and process plant. Consultancy has included Feasibility studies, Design/Manufacturing analysis, Tender specifications, Quotation estimating and proposals.
Kendal Engineering (Management Information Systems Division) is a C.21 addition to the company, headed by Peter Kendal Msc (MIS); BSc; PGCE; Institute of Management Services (Dip.) Building on 12 years experience in Operational Management Systems and 10 years experience of teaching IT / ICT in Secondary schools, School Report Composer was developed from the viewpoint of a practising Teacher for the benefit of other Teachers. Uppermost in the design development criteria was the many hours of report drafting late into the night, only to have to do rewrites because of the slip of a pen!
With these additional skills within Kendal Engineering Ltd the company is now able to offer Systems Consultancy and Technical Services to Schools and Manufacturing Process Industries.
