Celebrating our 56th year in the citrus business, we welcome you to the 2005-2006 citrus season! Our family is looking forward to supplying you and yours with the finest Indian River oranges and grapefruit. Founded in 1950, Schacht Groves is committed to your satisfaction. As always, we follow these guidelines:
We offer citrus fruit as nature intended—free of wax and color-enhancing gases. Our fruit is simply washed in a mild-soap solution, rinsed, dried, and packed.
Over the summer, we continued to work on improving your current and future Schacht Groves experiences: – We now offer a “Sampler” size package of fruit. Equivalent to a 1/8 bushel, the “Sampler” makes for a perfect little gift for 1 or 2 people. – In May 2005, we added nearly 2000 baby trees to our House and Lake Groves to further provide you with delicious citrus in future years. Here’s a few of the new varieties we will have available soon: Ortanique Oranges, Murcott Tangerines, Sunburst Tangerines, and Star Ruby Grapefruit. – Our “East Grove” finished its 3-year transition to organic in August 2005.
