- In 2003 I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. At that moment I knew that I wanted to find something that I could do from home while still earning an income equivalent to what I was earning at my "outside" job. Like many others I turned to the Network Marketing industry. I had never been involved in this type of "thing" before, but it sounded good to me. I didn't know anyone in the industry and really didn't know how to research it because I didn't know what I should be looking for. All I knew was that with the types of companies out there I could make money while doing something I loved. So I found a company that fit into one of my (then) favorite hobbies and jumped right in. After I had signed the "rep agreement" I discovered all of the restrictions in this particular company, and I began wondering how they ever expected a rep to make any money only getting a 25% commission and the only way I could sell the product was through home parties or individual orders. They didn't have an option for reps to have a website through the company at that time, nor would they allow a rep to build their own site! I stayed with that company for two and one half years, spending money every three months to meet my "quota" to stay active.
