Purpose
The Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (SCCIJ) was founded and formally approved by the Japanese Ministry of Industry and Trade on February 25, 1982.
Japan's growing importance as a market for Swiss products and services, and its widening opportunities for local production and licensing, hardly requires an introduction. The role and objectives of the SCCIJ can best be summarized as:
To represent, express and give effect to the opinions of the Swiss business community and companies in Japan on trade, industry, finance and related issues, and to provide a forum for communication among Swiss, Japanese and other business professionals.
