- Laser scanning is the process of measuring any given object by means of a laser beam and digitizing the information. With the information you can copy or modify the object in different ways with a CAD/CAM. If the scanner is connected to a CNC-machine, it is possible to cut off a considerable amount of hard manual work, as for example in the stone industry. See Applications for examples.
