Sam & Anne Appleby
Sam and Anne Appleby have been married for 26 years. They immigrated from England to Canada soon after they were married, in 1977. With the intention of buying their own farm somewhere in Canada, Sam found a job relief milking, and Anne worked in the Municipal office in Steinbach, Manitoba. They used their experiences to aid in chosing a community and location in which they would enjoy farming. And so, they found a nice farm just south of Steinbach, which they purchased in 1979.
Sam as been enjoying the encouragement and enthusiasm created by the young Canadian Red & White Holstein Club. He is currently the Western Canadian Director of the club.
Both are extremely busy on the farm, with the kind of passion and dedication that only other farmers can relate to.
