Description
The Sarah Bonwell Hudgins Foundation, Inc. was chartered in 1967 as a tax exempt, non-profit corporation and named as a memorial to Mrs. Hudgins by her children. It supports dynamic programs for people with mental and/or physical disabilities.
The Foundation helps enable the disabled with a place to work, a place to live in a safe, caring environment, and a place to learn to live independently. All of this is in an accessible central location.
The Foundation provides that support on our 38-acre campus located at 1 Singleton Dr. (off Battle Road) in Hampton, Virginia near the intersection of I-64 and Big Bethel Road. Included are residences, a vocational/industrial center, a commercial kitchen/cafeteria, a gymnasium, and an inclusive state-of-the-art Child Development Center.
