Schaefer & Strohminger is the Baltimore metropolitan area's oldest automotive organization. It was founded in 1917 by Michael Schaefer and Henry Strohminger (brother-in-laws) at Fleet and Eaton Streets in Highlandtown.
Still family-owned, the company today is headed by Chairman, Louis M. Schaefer and President David Strohminger and it sells 9 vehicle lines from eight locations.
The company's lines are Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, GMC, Honda, Jeep, Mazda, and Pontiac, Schaefer & Strohminger has four locations in Baltimore County, three in Harford County and one in Cambridge, Maryland.
