Description
The purpose of the San Isabel Land Protection Trust is to assist landowners in the protection of ranch, farm and forest lands, wildlife habitat, open space for scenic beauty, and historic resources.
In 2005, the San Isabel Land Protection Trust placed 16 properties under conservation easement- the largest number it has ever accomplished in one year. This added 3,014 acres to those already protected in Custer, Huerfano, Fremont and Pueblo Counties and brought our total to 42 easements and almost 15,000 acres.
We have already begun work on 2006 easements and see another very positive year ahead. If you are a landowner and have interest in protecting your property in 2006, please contact us as soon as possible at: director@sanisabel.org or call 719-783-3018.
