This month, the Salida Sanitary District is considering raising fees 100%. Because of this drastic rate increase, the Salida M.A.C. will be shifting their normal meeting which is held at the same time and evening as the Sanitary District Board Meetings in order to allow for MAC members and the public to attend the Sanitary District meeting May 11th, at 7pm at the District office. Residents are encouraged to attend this meeting in order to voice their protest to the proposed rate increase. Read below for more information. M.I.D. will be making a presentation at the next MAC meeting which will be May 18th, 7pm at the Salida Community Center inside the Library.
Property owners in the Salida Sanitary District recently were notified of the District's intention to raise their service fees by 100%. Owners of single family homes and businesses are currently paying $13.20 a month. The proposed increase is also $13.20 a month brining the monthy fee to $26.40 per month, or $209 a year.
