Sale By Owner Realty.com was started by a group of successful real estate agents from Washington State who saw the need for a home sales, for sale by owner service that allowed home sellers to sell their homes & property for sale by owner, without having to pay a full Real Estate commission.
In a real estate transaction the home seller's agent lists the property on the MLS (Multiple Listing Service). The home buyer's agent helps find homes the home buyer might be interested in. Both receive a commission at the point of home sale. Our idea was to list the property directly on the MLS (Multiple Listings Service) site by charging a one-time flat fee. Then the Listing Agent commission wouldn't be necessary. After all, it's the home buyer's agent who does most of the work.
By paying a flat fee for listing your home, you can save 3% on the home sale price. Simply stated, if your home sells for $200,000, you save $6,000 less the flat fee cost.
