SailTime® Licensing Group LLC offers an innovative new approach to boat access and ownership that makes it easier, quicker and more economical for aspiring captains to take the helm of a beautiful, well-equipped sail or power boat.
In 2001, avid boaters Grant Headifen and George Bonelli saw a need for making boating easier and more affordable. They founded SailTime, purchased their first boat with personal savings and tested their business model on Lake Travis in Austin, Texas. Initially, SailTime focused exclusively on sailboats, and the business quickly expanded to 30 bases in North America in its first three years. Overseas expansion began in 2004 with the first base in the United Kingdom when Jonathan Duffy joined the team. This growth has continued with the addition of two more UK bases and a mainland Europe base in the Netherlands. In 2005, expanded their product line to include power yachts. Future plans include opening at least one base in every major boating location throughout the world.
