Sailing In Dublin Club (SID) is a small friendly club based in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin. It offers the opportunity to sail regularly without having to buy a boat. The club provides a fleet of dinghies (1 and 2 person boats) and a yacht (max 6 persons) for sailing activities and competitions at a very low membership fee.
SID welcomes all adults who wish to enjoy sailing in Dublin Bay and beyond, from beginner to experienced crew. Members take part in all aspects of running and organising the club. Boats, rescue cover and safety equipment are provided. All members are encouraged to take part in races and regattas held in Dun Laoghaire during the summer months and the 'frostbite' series held on Sundays during the winter.
The club was founded by members of Glenans Irish Sailing Club and has been running in Dun Laoghaire since 1984.
