Following a heroic three and a half year battle with ovarian cancer, Sonja Ione Sackmann nee Johnson, 64 of Othello,WA, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday July 7, 2008. Sonja was born on November 17, 1943 in Oakes, ND and moved to Washington with her parents and younger sisters in 1957. Sonja was the Office Manager for Sackmann Law Office. She loved to travel and spent a great deal of time sailing the San Juan Islands and the waters of lower British Columbia with her husband Steve.
