- Competed nationally in basketball, soccer and bowling, AAU basketball squad won the national championship in 1994. Sam taught herself to play golf in 1997. Competed on the Bullis School Boys Golf Team where she was named all-conference. Earned 16 varsity letters at The Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2005. Sponsored by PING in 2006.
