- Rye Hills School is a purpose built school situated on the outskirts of Redcar. It is a community secondary co-educational comprehensive school & Sports College catering for students in the 11-16 age range. It is one of a growing number of Specialist Colleges. Our specialisms are Sport and Drama. We are very proud to have achieved Sports College status, which took a tremendous amount of hard work from students, parents, staff and members of the Rye Hills community. Being a Sports College has already brought a huge improvement in our facilities, with a newly built full-size, floodlit STP (Astroturf-style pitch), along with many more developments completed in September 2006. We already have two specialist Drama suites, and are currently improving stage facilities in the main hall.
