Description
The desire to make custom maps and structures has been around for a long time. Worldforge, a program by Ridcully, was one of the first programs that allowed one to effeciently edit a map in UO. A lot has happened since then. Hopefully more for the better then the worse. The WorldMaker suite continues the vision that was forged by the early pioneers in UO map making tools. Without their efforts and inspiration, WorldMaker would not exist.
WorldMaker is a suite of tools that allow a user to create and edit totally cutom maps and structures, all from the perspective of how it will appear in the game. The tools are designed to interact with each other, offering the user a seamless experience. Less time is spent on fighting the limitations of the tool, and more on the pressing job of designing. The code for the WorldMaker tools is based on C++, QT and OpenGL. The tools are designed to run equally well with the same features and visual set on x86 linux/unix platforms as well as Windows. Code is available for the tools. Feel free to post new features, fixes, redsigned, or adaptions you have done to the code on this site. Or if one just has a general question on the code, that is fine to. Be warned now, the code does not meet buisness oriented programming practices, standard and conventions. As an individual hobby, I took liberty when I coded based on how I felt at the moment. So the reader is warned!
