- Before the World Wide Web and Microsoft Windows, Ventura Desktop Publisher was the pagination program of choice. I took a job for a music industry weekly "tip sheet." the company had abruptly lost their person doing the layout and I was got the publication out that week, my first week. Needless to say, you do what you have to do to get the job done, and I never looked back. Luckily I had an eye and a willingness to succeed and within weeks the entire publication was driven through me and no deadline was ever missed.
