While coffee has been around nearly as long as civilization, the current trend of specialty coffee began in the late 80's in Seattle and has rapidly spread across the nation. Metro Atlanta has quickly embraced the coffee experience, with numerous coffee houses opening in the past few years. Since 1998, Red, White, & Brew, your neighborhood coffee house, has been bringing the community together to share conversation over their favorite coffee drink. And the people want their coffee. Coffee is the national beverage, with an average adult drinking over 400 cups per year. The image of someone sipping a "cup of Joe" has become Americana. The early years of our Nation were marked by change-- none more evident than that of coffee-- until one fateful night in Boston. As tea was being cast overboard, rebellious colonists lifted their cups to toast a new nation, coffee became a symbol of partiotism. From then to now, coffee has been a part of us, a part of our culture, and our heritage. It has come to mean more than just a beverage... ... to us it means Red, White, and Brew.
