The Russell County Democratic Committee recently held its nominating Convention and selected its candidates for the upcoming special election on Tuesday, November 3, 2009. The Commonwealth’s Attorney and the Treasurer offices will both be on the ballot in the special election. Brian K. Patton, the current interim Commonwealth’s Attorney will be running for Commonwealth’s Attorney. Brian was selected to serve as interim Commonwealth’s Attorney when Mike Bush resigned to take a judgeship.
