Description
Why China? ~ Somewhat on a whim, my best friend brought me to Changsha, Hunan in 1998/99 to teach business using English for a college there. I enjoyed the people, work and way of life a great deal and promised him I would come back when the time was right. Three years and many conversations later, I came to Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Urban Construction Campus (aka WUST) in September 2002 to teach Oral English and American Culture. I've just begun the second year teaching for WUST and have high hopes for the months to come. ~ Though much has changed since the 98/99 tour, most days still bring adventure and fascination that can only be found in this unique place. To me, one phrase captures the essence of life here...Anything is possible! I hope you enjoy the stories and pictures about my time in Wuhan (the capital of Hubei, a province in central China, found along the Yangtze River) and other travels around the Eastern Hemisphere.
