- Derek Griffiths has been running since 1988. Born in Columbus, OH, Derek started running in Washington Court House as a seventh grader. He was All-Ohio 3 times in track and field (twice in the 1600 and once in the 800) and once in cross country. He attended Kent State University in Kent, Ohio where he was All-Mid American Conference in the mile his senior year. After graduating with a BS in Biology, Derek attended graduate school at Andrews University in Dayton, Ohio and received a Master's of Physical Therapy degree. He is also a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
