Description
Rose Verhoeven is a singer/songwriter from Pittsboro, N.C. she is accompanied by Wes Lambe on guitar and harmony vocals. Her carefully crafted songs are sung with a country/bluegrass twang that is at once arresting and charming.
Born in The Netherlands, she came to the US at the age of two, and grew up in various places around the country such as Greenville, SC, Detroit, MI, Chicago, IL, finally ending up in Chapel Hill, NC. It was in high school at Carolina Friends School that she began developing her musical voice rooted in Bluegrass, Country, and Alt. Over the last few years, both her performance and songwriting skills have matured into a very original and captivating voice. She can be seen in and around the Chapel Hill area at local clubs and venues with her partner in crime, Wes Lambe whose acoustic guitar picking, and harmony vocals mesh seamlessly with Rose's music.
When Rose is not playing and writing music, she can almost always be found around horses. She has been training dressage horses for several years and spends her time working with young warmbloods, giving dressage lessons and spoiling her Hanoverian, Harley.
