I graduated Florida State University with a dual major in Business and Creative Writing. Creative writing was rewarding, but with the birth of my first daughter, I had to get a real job. I went out into the work world and did the 8 to 5 thing for along time. But I always carried my Pentax 35mm everywhere. I took photographs of everything: landscapes, people, portraits. My love for photography grew and finally the day came when I could be paid for doing what I loved, so I started my professional photography career 10 years ago with LifeTouch Photo Studios. I traveled all of North Florida and parts of South Georgia photographing students, sports, seniors, and proms. I worked with some really great people who had the patience to allow me to hone my skills photographing people. During my time with LifeTouch, I snapped over 40,000 portraits of people from the age of 3 months to over the age of 65 years old, (that's alot of say "cheese".)
Since leaving LifeTouch, I'm a freelance, location photographer based in Tallahassee, Florida. I have lived in Tallahassee for 20 years, so I call this home. Tallahassee offers unique location situations. We are close to the white sands of the Gulf Beachs which offer stunning photographs and sunsets, and live among the spreading Oaks and tall Pines that dominate our area for beautiful backgrounds.
