About Rombouts
In 1896 a small coffee business opened in Antwerp, Belgium. The owner's name was Franciscus Rombouts. His expertise and dedication to quality set the standards by which we still operate today which, coupled with an innovative and creative approach to improvement, is the reason that we are a globally recognised quality coffee brand and one of the largest coffee roasting companies in Belgium. The undisputed leader in the world's coffee filter market, Rombouts is also the chosen coffee of the Belgian Royal Court and is considered to be the most prestigious brand of coffee for quality in Japan.
In 1964 Rombouts coffee arrived in the UK and the range of quality coffee soon developed from individual filter coffee to coffee for pour-over machines. Then, portion-controlled and vending packs and beans for espresso machines were added to the range and Rombouts coffee soon became familiar in public houses, restaurants and hairdressers.
In response to changing trends in coffee drinking, Rombouts soon developed individual filter coffees for the home where our passion for coffee translates into coffee drinkers' requirement for rich, stimulating flavoursome coffee.
