- COAL GROVE, OH-It’s hard to believe, but the fourth season of racing for the Rocky Top Raceway has already come and gone. As we look back on the 2007 season, it was a year of new highs for the track. The 2007 season set a new RTR record for most races held in one season at 17. The IRS race on July 13th saw one of the largest crowds in RTR track history. Highest single race car count records were set in the Late Model division at 30 and in the Bomber division at 28. With over $1,000 extra in the Late Model payout in 2007, the Late Model car count was only under 15 one time, another new RTR record. Around 250 drivers from six different states raced at RTR in 2007.
