Richard Kochenash - In Thy Light Shall We See Light

Richard Kochenash is a representational artist who is a master of Alla Prima or Direct painting in both oil and watercolor. His work spans a wide range of interest including portraiture, outdoor or Plien Air landscape, and floral painting. Each reflects a point in time with its particular present moment story to tell as well as Rick's mood and emotion when he painted it. Each of his works stand independently. His hope is that when viewed as a whole his works of art, present to the viewer the hand behind the signature.
Richard has his BS in Art Education from Kutztown University and 5 years of study at Atelier LeSueur, in Minnesota. He also studied with Richard Lack. Currently Richard is an instructor at: Savage Art Studios, Hopkins Art Center, Edina Art Center and River Ridge Arts Academy. He is represented in several galleries and can be contacted at
