As with many (maybe even most) sites of this web genre dynamics play a prominant role in the dilevery and management of content and information. although there are still endeavours out there that STILL DON'T wag their tails with the vast array of techniques and scripting avaialble to them (You know who you are...call Echelon, they can help - Blantant Plug).
When starting this project we had a pretty good vision and perspective as to what we wanted to do although in short order we also realized how unfinished our scope was as new concepts and ideas come into play over the course of development (point here is that development doesn't stop as this site is a perpetual 'work in progress', a true dynamic project). Below is a running commentary on the intricacies of this website with added commentary from time to time.
The main catalyst and first central concept was the daily picture displayed on the home page. The desire to present a new and unique picture that changed daily. Hey, we still think it's cool and as this is also our most accessed page we sense there is a following (hey this makes us look pretty smart...ahhh, perception can be wonderful) as we had hoped. Further along with our idea was to try to keep the images RELATIVE to the region; Rice Lake Ontario, not the Wisconsin one (although I'm certain, it too, is a wonderful place). We are proud to point out that we have, thanks to Delcey - founder , owner and inspiration for RLT, AKA; ricelakemermaid - been able to provide a DIFFERENT picture each day since inception last August(03). Ok there have been the odd time when we needed to re-post an image and that some of our Sunday pics, which always portrays a church, have been repeated, ONLY because, hey there are only so many churches retrospect to sundays in a calendar year!
