Retinal Disease
Retinal Diseases vary in seriousness and complexity. Common retinal diseases include:
- Epiretinal membrane -- A tissue-like scar membrane that grows on the macula, resulting in vision problems
- Retinal detachment -- A detachment of the retina from the eye cavity when a retinal tear causes a leak of vitreous fluid; requires immediate treatment.
- Macular hole -- A hole in the retinal tissue used for central vision
- Diabetic Retinopathy -- Damage to the capillaries that nourish the retina
- Age-related Macular Degeneration
