Description
Excerpted from the website:
- For years I have answered the telephone to hear stories of broken treasures and memories. My first response is it's only a "thing". Things can be repaired or replaced...people can't. So lets get things in prospective. The one thing that is hard to do is console a newly wed groom who broke something his new mother-in-law gave them. But that works out well too. I'm not making light of broken treasure and believe me I love to restore. When I present a client with a restored item and see the look on there face ...Well I'm happy camper. I also understand that the world of collectible and antiques can be very confusing, from the numerous manufactures to the many manufacturing techniques employed. That is why I offer free consultation before any work commences. We discuss everything from the items true value to sentimental value, whether the repair is structural or a simple cosmetic touch-up.We want you to make the best and most informed decision before spending your money. If we can't do it we can likely recommend an alternative solution. We are fair and your satisfaction - whether we do the work or not- is our primary goal. Consultation and estimates are free and we document and get approvals for everything prior to starting any procedure. WE contact insurance companies and write letters on your behafe at no charge. Of course, the cost of shipping an item (to and from) for our examination is paid by the client. With the dawn of the Internet many clients email me pictures of the broken item and most times I can give an educated guess on the type of repair or restoration, time frame and cost. Over the years my clients, via Ebay people, antiques dealers, new brides, retiring people who wish to pass their memories on to their children and grandchildren, many Priest's and Nuns and the people around the corner have become my friend as well as satisfied clients. Restoring is very tedious and unnerving but it's what I do and I do it well. Thank you for taking the time to read my page.
