Guy P. Johnson, CPA, MS is the publisher of The Research Roundtable, a monthly newsletter for the clinical trials industry. Guy teaches a course entitled "The Business of Clinical Research" for the George Washington University's distance learning program, and spoke at the 2000 ACRP annual meeting. Guy has been published in The Journal of Clinical Research and Drug Development , the Drug Information Journal and in Parexel's Pharmaceutical Sourcebook 2000 on budget and indemnification issues, and continues to consult within the research industry on budgetary, operational and subject recruitment issues. For 14 years, Guy was the business manager for large, dedicated research sites, and negotiated the budgets and indemnifications for 500+ clinical research studies.
Guy P. Johnson is an adjunct faculty member of The George Washington University where he teaches a distance learning course on "The Business of Clinical Research" within the Health Sciences Department. At the 24th Annual Meeting & Exposition of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals, held May 13 - 18, 2000 in New Orleans, Guy Johnson spoke on the topic, "Indemnification in Clinical Investigations - Review for Site Managers of Theory and Practice." Ann Begley, RN, JD, of the Washington, D.C. law firm of McKenna and Cuneo, spoke on the theoretical side of investigator indemnifications. Guy Johnson, who has 14 years of experience in negotiating budgets and contracts, spoke on the practical aspects of indemnification matters.
